Bryan Kohberger's High School Complaint Revealed

The Killer

28 year old Bryan Kohberger from Pennsylvania is thought to be responsible for the Idaho murders. 

The perpetrator graduated from Northampton Community College in 2018, and in 2022 received both his bachelors and masters degree in criminal justice from DeSales University. He was working as a teaching assistant and to get his PhD at Washington State University. 

Konberger was often described as a "common joe" by classmates and peers. Some said he was "odd" but all associates stated that they never saw anything like this happening.

The Arrest

Ironically, he was studying for his doctoral degree in criminal justice at Washington State University at the time of the murders. Investigators say that vehicle records and DNA was what linked him to the case. 

More than 6 weeks after the murders, Kohberger's was arrested in his parents home located in Pennsylvania, over 2,000 miles from the Idaho campus. On December 30th and he was transported to Idaho and on January 5th he was formally charged. 

The Court Case 

Kohberger's first appears in court in Pennsylvania on January 3rd and when he agrees to go back to Idaho. The next day he is taken to Latah County Idaho jail and appears in court where he is held without bail until his retail hearing on January 12th. 

During his arraignment on May 22nd Kohberger stayed silent when asked for his plea on the 4 murders and burglary charges. This left the Judge John to enter his response as not guilty for the charges, but procedures say they are still seeking the death penalty. 

As of now, the Judge John set the date for the start of Kohbeger's trial for October 2nd 2023.
